Building Process

Our building process utilizes the best facilities available for system built homes, combined with our top-notch local "prep" and installation crews. Here's a high-level overview of the building process, followed by a chart that explains some of the differences between various construction techniques.

  1. We meet with the future homeowner to select building plans and features.
  2. We identify the lot for the new home and take care of any administrative and legal paperwork to begin construction.
  3. Construction starts on your new home in an indoor, state-of-the-art facility.
  4. Site construction starts on your lot, including site prep, driveways, water, sewer and power lines, home foundation, etc.
  5. The completed home is scheduled for delivery to coincide with completed site work.
  6. The home arrives on custom trailers and our experienced crews begin the finish work of assembling your new home to exacting standards.
  7. Once the exterior is finished, our crews complete any inside details that still remain -- custom fixtures, porches and decks, etc.
  8. We complete the final paperwork.
  9. You move in to your brand new home!

Why choose pre-built components versus traditional stick building?
Each pre-built component saves time, and in the end, money!

  • Indoor production facilities keep materials safe and dry during the construction process of your home.
  • Because system built homes are almost 80% complete once weather tight, pilferage is less likely at your home site.
  • The system built process lets us recycle as many materials as possible. Overall this means a better and cleaner environment. The building system also creates less waste at your home site which reduces the need for unnecessary trash disposal and results in a cost savings on wood, landfill use and other materials.
  • Consistent quality control measures in receiving materials and throughout the production process helps ensure a high quality home.
  • Cycle times are reduced by building with system built homes so you are more likely to close your loans quicker and that will save valuable interest dollars.

While searching for a new home, you'll hear the terms site built, modular, and manufactured. It's important to become familiar with the differences between these structures so you can make sure you make the right decision with the correct information for your home buying needs.
